Aerospace Assembler

Location: Shoreline, WA

Schedule: Full-time, day shift

About Us

Firland Foundation is a non-profit sheltered workshop in Shoreline WA that manufactures precision aerospace components. We have a wide set of teams in the shop including parts assembly. We are seeking a full-time production assembler to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

As a production assembler, you will be responsible for assembling components into high quality aviation parts according to well-defined processes. The assembly process requires the use of hand tools. It also requires the willingness to carefully adhere to assembly instructions. All Firland employees actively participate in a strong Kaizen culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities Include

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, parts lists, and digital lists
  • Perform drilling, countersinking, and riveting operations to specification
  • Set up and assemble parts and sub-assemblies using manufacturing aids, jigs, fixtures, and clamping tools
  • Ensure proper alignment, fit, and finish of assemblies
  • Follow production schedules and work instructions to meet quality and delivery requirements
  • Inspect completed work for compliance with engineering and quality standards
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area and adhere to all company procedures

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of aerospace assembly experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and assembly instructions
  • Skilled in drilling, riveting, countersinking, and sealing
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards
  • Ability to use common assembly tools and measuring equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Team-oriented with good communication and problem-solving skills

Pay Rate:

$22.00 – $25.00 (depending on skills)
