Production Assembler
Key Responsibilities
The Production Assembler will be responsible for assembling high quality aviation parts according to defined processes. We intend to hire a candidate that is capable of growing into the Assembly Lead. Specific tasks include:
- Assembling small parts using basic hand tools
- Following safety protocols
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Troubleshooting assembly issues
- Creating assembly instructions
- Reporting malfunctions and errors to supervisors
- Operating power tools and manufacturing equipment for assemblies
- Performing quality checks to identify defects or inconsistencies
- Measuring and aligning parts or subassemblies
- Cleaning and maintaining work area and equipment
- Supporting our continuous improvement (Kaizen) culture by identifying areas of concern and proposing solutions to mitigate waste.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical school preferred
- Basic reading and math
- Able to read blueprints
- Basic computer skills
- Sufficient manual dexterity to use hand tools daily
- Sufficient mobility and flexibility to assemble aviation parts daily
- A commitment to following instructions and produce uniform high-quality work
- Ability to start day by 7:00 AM
- Preferred: some experience in a production role
Environment
In the workshop, you will be subjected to loud noises, chemicals, moving equipment, and heavy machinery. PPE and safety training will be provided. There are a few physical demands of this job:
- Frequent repetitive motions
- Eye strain (small parts)
- Motor function (dexterity for assembling)
- Sedentary work
- Ability to carry 20 lbs
- Early working hours
Payrate: $22 – $27 / hour
